LAMIASTRUM (Yellow Archangel)

LAMIUM (Dead Nettle)
Quick-spreading ground cover that does well in shaded, dry areas or full sun with a moist soil. Late spring through early summer, flowers are produced on 8-9"" spikes. Attractive foliage brightens a dark spot in the shade garden. Can be used as a filler to cover the voids left by spring bulb displays. Zones 3-8.

Lamium maculatum 'Anne Greenaway'
$8.85 A new variety of Lamium. The leaves are a burst of light and dark greens, outlined in silver and gold stripping. Mauve pink flowers in late spring to early summer, and spreads to 18"". Hummingbirds like it too! Full sun to full shade. 6-8"".

Lamium maculatum 'Beacon Silver'
$8.85 Silver and green foliage that takes on a purple hue in late fall and winter. Not as invasive as other forms. Pink flowers in May-June. This variety performs well in southern gardens. 4-8"".

LATHYRUS (Perennial Sweet Pea)

Lathyrus latifolius

LAVANDULA (Lavender)
Lovely, old-fashioned fragrant perennials with gray-green foliage. The varieties offered perform well for us here with full sun and a very well-drained soil. However, since they are evergreen, those of you in northern climates may want to protect the foliage from drying winter winds by supplying a protective cover. Aromatic spiked flowers July-August. Valued as a dried flower and an ideal container plant! Droughgt resistant. Zones 5-9.

LIATRIS (Gayfeather)(Blazing Star)
Popular as a cut flower in Europe, Liatris is a hardy perennial that will provide long-lasting color. The large flower spikes bloom from the top down rather than the reverse. Best in full sun and a well-drained location. Zones 3-9.
